AHN EXTENDS VOTE COUNT BY WIDE MARGIN
LOS ANGELES, CA — Tuesday, April 11, 2017
As the County Registrar of Voters office continues to count ballots, the latest results show 34th Congressional District candidate Robert Lee Ahn’s voter numbers continue to grow. Outspent and out-mailed by his opponent two-to-one in the Primary, Ahn’s impressive results show that his support extends well beyond the Korean American community.
In a race that originally included 23 candidates, Mr. Ahn overtook the pack and will be in a run-off for the Congressional seat against Jimmy Gomez, who currently represents 50% of the District in the State Assembly.
This is a crushing defeat for Mr. Gomez, who is the favorite of the Democratic Party Machine and Special Interests.
Robert Lee Ahn, virtually unheard of before the Primary – except in philanthropic circles – basically ties Gomez.
As of today’s count, Mr. Ahn’s vote numbers have increased to 9,411. Jimmy Gomez’s vote tally remains the same at 10,727.
